A lifelong Special Olympics athlete and Polar Plunge enthusiast

Tony Shore has been a dedicated Special Olympics Virginia athlete since the age of 8, competing in sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, softball and bowling. Special Olympics has become his extended family, and one of his favorite events is Polar Plunge. Last year, Tony had the honor of leading the Opening Ceremony at the Virginia Beach Polar Plunge by lighting the cauldron, a moment he cherishes.

Beyond sports, Tony is passionate about giving back to the community, whether it's through his church or participating in fundraising events. His “can do” attitude and love for Special Olympics shine through in everything he does.
