Michelle Philip has been involved with Special Olympics for eight years, competing in swimming, gymnastics, cheerleading, bowling and basketball. Special Olympics has not only given her the opportunity to pursue her love for sports, but has also opened doors to lasting friendships and personal growth.

For the past two seasons, Michelle has taken on the role of emcee and host for the Mosaic Polar Plunge, showcasing her leadership and dedication to the community. She dreams of becoming a teacher's assistant, helping students who may struggle to get along with others. When asked who she admires, she touts Michael Phelps for his dedication to swimming. As a Special Olympics Global Messenger, she loves to share her belief in building a unified generation, advocating for opportunities for people of all abilities.

Your participation in the Polar Plunge ensures that athletes across Virginia can continue to live their dreams, just like Michelle.
