About Polar Plunge



2010 Polar Plunge Schedule of Events:

Friday, Feb. 5
  • 6-10 p.m. Friday Night Plunge Party featuring local band Butter and a cornhole tournament (under Main Tent, at the end of 7th Street on the beach). Tickets are $10. Adult beverages and food also will be for sale. All ages welcome. For tickets, call 877.874.7462 in advance; tickets also will be sold at the door.

Saturday, Feb. 6

  • 10 a.m. Winter Festival Begins/Registration for Costume Contests (under Main Tent)/Shuttle bus begins pick up at 19th Street lot
  • 11 a.m. Opening Ceremony in the Main Tent
  • Noon Boogie Down the Boardwalk Costume Parade (meet at 6th Street)
  • 12:30 p.m. Pee Wee Plunge in the Kids Zone for childen 12 and under
  • 1 p.m. End of Registration for Costume Contests
  • 1:15 p.m. Costume Contests (under Main Tent)
  • 2 p.m. Plunge Check Presentation (under Main Tent) – come see how much we raised!
  • 2:15 p.m. “How to Survive the Plunge” Safety Briefing (in the Plunger-only area)
  • 2:30 p.m. The Plunge!
