Thanks to the more than 185 plungers who raised more than $22,000 for Special Olympics Virginia at the 2012 Hill City Polar Plunge Festival! Stay tuned to this page for more information about seizing the freeze in 2013!

WE DARE YOU… to take the Plunge! Join students and faculty from Liberty University and members of the Lynchburg community for the Hill City Polar Plunge® Festival benefiting Special Olympics Virginia. Stay tuned for more details, or call 434.582.4712 with questions.

Who: You!
What: Hill City Polar Plunge® Festival
When: February 25, 2012, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Camp Hydaway Lake at Liberty University (directions from Liberty to Camp Hydaway Lake)
Why: To benefit Special Olympics Virginia
Parking: Parking will be at Liberty University's LaHaye Student Center. Shuttles will run from the Tilley Center Bus Stop up to Camp Hydaway. There will be no parking at Camp Hydaway.

Plungers must raise $50 to Plunge. In addition to taking the Plunge, you'll get a Plunge T-shirt and lunch. Other event highlights include a live music, the Plunge Festival, costume contests and many fundraising competitions! Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• Top Individual Fundraiser
• Team Competition (includes athletics teams, student groups, residence halls, youth groups, school groups, fraternities and sororities)

Not up for plunging? How about raising money to Plunge your Prof? Commit to raising $500 (either individually or as a team) and ask a professor/coach/administrator to plunge if you reach your goal!
