Highlander Polar Plunge Celebration

Run. Plunge. Play. Repeat... at Radford

Saturday, March 2, 2013
Dudley's Landing (Bisset Park - at the bridge off Main Street), Radford, VA

Check-in: 10-11 am
Splashdown: 11:30 am

Freeze the day and join us at the Highlander Polar Plunge® Celebration, hosted by the Radford City Police and benefiting Special Olympics Virginia. The plunge is open to the entire community, including Radford University alumni and students and Virginia Tech students.

Whether you just dip your ankles or take a minute to splash around, it's the coolest thing you'll do all year – not to mention you are creating more opportunities for our athletes to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in Special Olympics — all at no cost to themselves or their families.

Raise a minimum of $30 to participate, but the more you raise, the more cool prizes you will earn!

  • $50      Polar Plunge T-shirt
  • $100    Polar Plunge towel

The top individual and top team also will take home a special prize. And students are invited to raise $500 as a group and send their favorite professor, teacher, coach or administrator into the icy waters!

Plunger update: costumes are welcome; shoes are required for safety.

For more information about participating, volunteering or sponsorship opportunities, e-mail swoffice@specialolympicsva.org, or call 540.951.2918. You can register online through firstgiving.
